Personal Training

The Pet Athletic Club offers private, personal training classes to deal with behavior problems and teach basic & advanced obedience. We also offer SAR, NARC, personal protection, guard dog training, and puppy education.

Personal Training Sessions are $50-$100 per hour depending on your needs.

Puppy Education Package

The puppy education package is 4 hours long and typically lasts 4-5 weeks (most puppies can only train for 30-45 minutes at a time). By the end of the private sessions, your puppy will have learned sit, down, stay, come, heel, leave it, go to place and settle, wait, and stand. In addition, we'll teach you to curb problem behaviors such as nipping, barking, chewing, digging, hyperactivity, house breaking problems, and many others using positive reinforcement training methods.

We believe that dogs learn much more quickly and efficiently in private, personal training sessions, but puppies still MUST socialize with other puppies. To accommodate this very important need, our puppy package include 4 days of daycare, where your puppy will participate in our PACtivity program. He or she will socialize with other dogs of similar age, while polishing up their obedience with one of our professional trainers. This package is available for puppies aged 8 weeks-20 weeks of age.

The cost of this package is $250

Basic & Advanced Obedience

In these courses we cover sit, down, stay, come, heel, leave it, go to place and settle, wait, stand, off leash work, tricks, games, Canine Good Citizen, and Therapy Dog International preparation. The lengths of these courses vary from dog–to–dog. Please contact our professional trainers for more information.

Clicker Training

Clicker training is a fun and fast-training method for you and your dog. A clicker is a marker that is used to tell your dog she has done something correctly. A clicker, coupled with strict positive reinforcement training, allows your dog to learn quickly and makes training a fun, bonding experience for everyone. At your request, we can teach all aspects of basic and advanced obedience training using a clicker.

Behavior Modification

If your dog has a problem that keeps him from being the dog you have always dreamed of, such as aggression, fearfulness or selective hearing, behavior modification sessions can help. Using the appropriate behavior mod techniques, we focus on individual behavior problems. We work with every dog from the most aggressive to the most timid.

Agility & K-9 Sports

Does your dog have more energy than you know what to do with? Let's put that energy to work in a constructive, rather than destructive, way. Consider our wide array of K-9 sports. We offer agility, fly ball, ring sport, frisbee, shutzhund, to name a few. Contact us for details.

We also offer PSA training, Urban SAR, and service dog training.
